'THANK~YOU FOR VISITING JACK'S PAGE'
I am hoping that now you have arrived 'here' ~ that you have made your way through Jack's pages and that you enjoyed your stay here... Computers are completely new to me ~ but I have tried very hard to make this in memory of our Precious Angel Jack ~ Our Sweet Heavenly baby... I sincerely hope that maybe this has been of some comfort to some people who have ever had to face this most traumatic experience in their life... Andrew and I used to always say to each other:~ "This always happens to someone else" ~ "you see it on the news" ~ "you read it in the papers" ~ "IT DOESN'T HAPPEN TO ME" !! Just how wrong can you be... Some things in life you are just not prepared for ~ and when things like this happen ~ it completely changes your outlook... I know it has ours... Jack taught us many things ~ as I know he has taught many others too... We are so, so proud he is our son, he will live in our hearts and minds always... He will be forever near and close to us...
I started this page for Jack a couple of days after he was born... It is now 12 weeks and one day since he went to God's open arms... As I was reading through Jack's page on Monday night (26th feb), time got on and midnight approached ~ it came to the 27th February, exactly 12 weeks that we gave birth to and lost our sweet angel... I had just told Andrew that I had completed Jack's page when he said he heard Ben crying (our 2 and a half year old), we listened carefully, the cries were coming from upstairs, 2~3 cries we heard and then realised it was NOT our Ben ~ he was sound asleep, then the cries stopped... It seems slightly strange that these cries were heard by both Andrew and I just as I had finished checking through everything on Jack's page... I remember coming back to the computer, smiling and continuing... We know it was our Jack telling us he 'knew' that this page we have done for him is ok, I really feel that he was letting us know that he is 'here' always, watching over us all the time ~ and that he is 'near ~ not far away...
We miss our Jack with all our heart ~ his little brother Ben talks about him so much... I really think he understands in his own little way ~ he says Jack is an angel in the sky ~ and points to a star when he sees one and says "there's Jack" ~ Jack's sister Sophie misses him terribly too... Sophie draws beautiful pictures for Jack and writes the most wonderful letters to him... All these gifts are kept in 'Jack's Place'... The whole family and everyone who knew Jack miss him so much ~ my mum is preparing a 'Rose Garden' for him for anyone who would like to buy a rose and plant it in Jack's memory... This is going to be beautiful... Mum is hoping to have it finished within a few weeks, then family and friends can plant their roses and watch them grow and bloom... We would like to take this opportunity to say what a wonderful gift this is from my mum ~ to enjoy nurturing and taking care of 'Jack's garden' throughout the years, watching it mature and grow ~ just as Our Jack would have done... x
There is just one thing that I have not included yet on Our Jack's page... This is a poem which we had with Jack's 'Birth Announcement' in the newspaper... At this moment in time, just a few weeks since we lost our sweet baby son, I feel we are not ready to do this... We find it hard to even read through it ourselves, but will, in time, add this to Jack's page, hoping that it may be of some comfort to others in their time of need... Please bear with us... In the minutes, hours, days and weeks since saying 'goodbye' to Our Angel ~ the emptiness we feel is immense... A piece of our heart has gone with Our Jack ~ and will stay with him ~ forever... We hope that everyone who has visited Jack's page welcomes our thoughts ~ and enjoyed their stay here... I gained such comfort making this for Jack ~ and it will be regularly updated ~ so please come back again one day ~ and wander through our 'Garden of Memories' once more...
