'FATHERS DAY'
June 17th 2001 ~ Fathers Day Today was a day that I knew Andrew was going to find difficult to get through, and I knew I was going to feel his pain too... Sophie and Ben gave their Daddy their gifts each, and also a special one from our Angel Jack... Andrew received a beautiful 'grey beanie', (the same design as the one I received for Mothers Day), holding a beautiful, silk, red rose, with the words, 'Me to You' embroidered on his little paw, and also a keyring to match with the words, 'Me to You' on it...
Andrew's Beanie is here on the left holding his rose, taking care of Our Jack... This sits with Jack in 'his place', next to all of his other little teddy bears...
Around lunch time we all went to the cemetery to lay some flowers on Andrews Dad's resting place... This is always an emotional time when we visit, and even more so this time, as the cemetery is the same Crematorium where we had Our precious Jack's Service, so the memories of our Jack's Funeral Day came flooding back too, which was immensely overpowering for all of us... A strange thing happened on the entrance to the cemetery as well... We had the stereo in the car turned off, but as we approached the path to where Andrews dad's resting place lay, all of a sudden, 'Jack's Song' ~ 'My Love', started to play!! No~one had touched the stereo, and the song started to play right from the very beginning!! 'We all just stood and wondered'... We laid the flowers down and on Andrews Nana's resting place too, asking them to take care of our Jack for us, and that we missed them all, so, so, very much...
We came home later that afternoon, spending the rest of the day as a family, and when the children had gone to bed, Andrew sat and spent time on Jack's web page... remembering... I remember Andrew's tears and I know how much he was hurting... He also received an email from a friend, saying that she was thinking of him on this 'Special Day'... Receiving this, I know, meant so much to him...
The day before 'Father's Day', I felt inspired to write a poem for Andrew, the words just came, and I KNOW they were sent from 'Heaven above'...
"Daddy" It's Father's Day on earth below, I miss you Daddy, as you miss me so... But it's Father's Day in Heaven too, 'And guess what Daddy' ~ "I got two"...
'There's my Heavenly Father' ~ who keeps me safe, And there's 'you' on earth ~ In just a different place... So don't feel sad, cause' we're apart, REMEMBER, you gave me, a piece of your heart...
And with this 'gift', I will always be, Beside you Daddy, for 'Eternity'.
And although I'm high in Heaven's sky, My love for you is floating by... My 'spirits' there on earth below, Even though you may not know.
I'm with you through the day's and nights, You're always close, you're in my sight... And although you may not 'feel my touch', Remember ~ 'I LOVE YOU', 'OH SO MUCH'.

'Fathers Day ~ 2002'
Unbelievable! Another 'Fathers Day' is here, my 'second' without my son 'Jack' and my first without my son 'Samuel'... I know that they are safe and that they are together in Heaven and for that I am comforted, but I so miss my precious baby boys... We have just started preparing a 'Rose Garden' where we will plant roses in both of your memories... A place where we can tend to and take care of these beautiful shrubs and watch them grow, just as we would have done for you both... "Jack sweetheart, you already have your own special little rose garden that was prepared last year for you and on it right now there are the two biggest, beautiful 'red roses' we have ever seen"...
"We have now started on another place too for you Samuel, where we will place your 'Birdbath' that was bought in your Memory by your 'Auntie Jane and Uncle Perry and their children, Rochelle, Chantelle and Crystelle, on the day we had to say 'goodbye' to you on March 4th 2002... I have completed the 'groundwork' and 'Mummy' has planted the flowers and today, on 'Fathers Day', we will place your 'Birdbath' in the 'centre' and know that it is now complete... Here is a photo before your bird bath was added... Just as the flowers had been planted... This is just infront of our 'lounge window', so that we can look out and see your very special place from indoors also...
As soon as the 'Bird Bath' is there, I will take some more photos and add them on here so that 'everyone' can see how beautiful this is looking... We have also finally divided our garden up into 'two halves'... One half is for your sister and brother, Sophie and Ben to play in with all of their toys and the other half is for you both, where we will have your roses and very special places that we can take care of... We have divided the garden with 16 conifers and in the middle we are erecting an 'archway', where we are planting a 'white climbing rose for you Jack', a 'red climbing rose for you Samuel' and a 'pink climbing rose for your angel friend Makayla'... This I am sure is going to look wonderful when it is completed... We will take lots of pictures and add them here in your special place... Well my angels, please know that 'Daddy' misses you very, very much, on not just this 'Fathers Day', but every single day that I wake up and open my eyes without you... Please would you ask your angel friend, 'Makayla Zayne' to send some 'special kisses' down to her 'Daddy Todd' as I know just how he is going to be feeling on this day too, without his special little daughter, and me without my precious baby boys...
Daddy LOVES you both so very much!
