'SISTERLY LOVE'

'Such Pain in Sophie's Eyes'

'SUCH LOVE' ~ Jack with his big sister Sophie ~ Just 2 hours old...

This photo always brings a tear to my eye...

Sophie was such a brave little girl ~ She was just 9 years old when I was pregnant with Jack ~ yet seemed to understand and accept that her 'new baby brother' was not well...

Sophie attended the 20 week scan with us when we were told that things were not so good...  I remember knowing not quite what to say to her, as we didn't really know ourselves at that time what was actually going on...

Throughout my pregnancy she watched my tummy grow and grow, saw Jack's 'kicks' and felt his 'moves'...

The night labour started, Sophie was sleeping soundly...  I kissed her on her cheek and whispered to her to be brave...  A tear trickled down her cheek...

Sophie gave so much love to Jack when she arrived at the hospital with her Nanny Cynthia and Auntie Jackie just after Jack had been born...

She instantly held Jack in her arms and rocked him so tenderly...  So carefully she placed Jack's little gold 'Cross and Chain' on him and his gold 'Teddy Bangle' on his wrist...

Sophie also held her baby brother in her arms whilst he was being baptized by our vicar Chris Newlands...

The letters, poems and pictures that Sophie wrote for Jack throughout my pregnancy will always be with him and us...

'ANGEL KISSES FROM HEAVEN FOR YOU SWEETIE'...
