~ Lynda's Departure ~

Lynda was due to leave around 4.00pm, allowing her good time to drive the 4 hours or so journey back home...  It got later and later, the sun went down, time kept ticking, but Lynda was still with us...

We were all finding it extremely difficult to make that break and know it was time to part...  As it grew darker, we knew that Lynda had to make a move home...  About 7.00pm, we took Lynda's Children Chloe and Phoebe out to their car where Lynda strapped them in, ready for their journey home...

...This hurt!

The final hug with myself and Lynda before she left!  It only seemed like we had just met, and now we were parting again...  My tears stung my face as did Andrews...  it was time to say Goodbye...

As Lynda got in her car and prepared to leave, Andrew, I and the children got in our car too, and proceeded slightly ahead of Lynda...  Lynda was going to follow us to the 'main road's where she would then have a straight run home...

The photo below is the last photo that we took of Lynda as she was leaving...

...as we drove off, Lynda followed us.  Andrew said we would 'part' on a 'Roundabout' close to one of the main roads that Lynda needed to take...

Before we got to the 'departure point', I asked Andrew to pull over...  Lynda pulled in behind us and we got out...

~ I just wanted one more hug! ~

We once again said our goodbyes, and then Lynda drove ahead and we turned around and drove home... Andrew's hand slipped into mine as Lynda disappeared from view...  I had a huge lump in my throat, and my tears fell...  I cried all the way back home, feeling lost, feeling empty but feeling also so very comforted and happy that I had actually met in person, this very special lady whom I have had the honour to meet and grow to love as one of my dearest friends...

Meeting Lynda and her very precious children was such a wonderful experience and we are soon to go and visit her this time, planning a trip down to Yorkshire in the next couple of weeks...

Although it was only 12 weeks since we met, it feels like a lifetime being apart  :(

Thank You Lynda for coming down and sharing with us our Samuel's Very Special 1st Heavenly Birthday, and for being one of the most special friends in my life...
